The Old Course

The “Old Course” at St Mellion is a championship golf course in its own right.
It was opened in 1976 and at 6,000 yards, has many holes

which will test the very best golfer.

The long par 4 third will require 2 accurate shots to reach the green

in regulation where bunkers are ideally placed to catch both

your tee shot and approach.

The twelfth is the most picturesque of the par three’s

with the lake being quite intimidating to the nervous player – however,

to hit the green is most satisfying.

The Old Course finishes with the fantastic par 4 eighteenth

which provides a fitting end to a memorable 18 holes.

The Old Course is a delightful course with wonderful scenery,

and extremelypopular with both

members and visitors of all handicaps a like.

Directions:
Follow the A30 from Exeter, through Okehampton
and until you reach the A388 at Launceston.

Turn onto A388 and follow the road until you reach Callington.

Stay on road until you reach St.Mellion.

Alternatively follow the A38 towards Plymouth and Saltash and join the A388 northbound in the direction of Callington and Launceston
